Coroner confirms two dead after crash involving semi in Wolfe County
CAMPTON, Ky. - The Wolfe County coroner confirms two people have died as a result of a crash in Wolfe County.
The sheriff's office says a car ended up underneath a semi on Highway 15 near the Shell in Campton killing two people in a car.
The coroner identified the victims as Jonathan Mark Miller, 27 of Campton, and Dylan Rae Spencer, 20 of Campton. Miller was driving the car.
According to investigators, a tractor-trailer hauling a load of scrap metal and a vehicle collided.
Witnesses at the scene say Spencer had just left his pickup in the nearby park to ride with Miller to work.
The truck driver did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
The roadway is open however police are asking drivers who plan on coming through the area to use caution as police continue their reconstruction of the collision.
