Company to add 60 full-time jobs in Bourbon County with $6.7 million investment

PARIS, Ky. (WDKY) - A commercial and household kitchen products supplier says its $6.7 million investment will bring 60 jobs to Bourbon County.

The governor's office announced Tuesday The Legacy Companies will locate its Bourbon County operation in the former Hearth & Home Technologies building. The company laid off 220 employees in February 2016 as it closed the majority of its Bourbon County operations.

“This move will help expand our capabilities and also allow us to be more centrally located for our existing customer base,” The Legacy Companies CEO Neal Asbury said, “This distribution center is an impactful asset that provides added opportunity for us to offer and deliver better customer service than ever before. As we settle in, we will be adding more people to the staff and we are excited about that, too.”

The company makes a variety of products including mixers, ice machines, kitchen utensils and dishwashers.

The governor's office says the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority will provide tax incentives totaling $600,000.
