Free hazardous waste disposal available in Lexington Saturday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDKY) - The City of Lexington is allowing residents to dispose of more than 50 hazardous waste items for free Saturday.
The city's Division of Waste Management is hosting this event in an effort to allow people to safely dispose of these items to help protect the environment.
The event is being held between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 1631 Old Frankfort Pike. Fayette County residents are the only ones allowed to participate.
The city will require all participants to fill out a survey, copies of which will be available on site. However, the city recommends filling out the form in advance to help the event run efficiently.
The collection event is being held because of a grant from the Kentucky Division of Waste Management.
