Garrard Co. animal shelter: 'We need help!"
LANCASTER, Ky. (WDKY) —
Leaders from a Central Kentucky animal shelter say they are in desperate need of help after taking in more than two dozen animals from a hoarding case.
A Facebook post from the Garrard County Animal Shelter Saturday afternoon stated: "We are CODE RED. We just took in 23 animals from a hoarding case, both dogs and cats. We have zero kennels open at this point. We are going to have to euthanize if we don’t make room ASAP."
The shelter, which is normally closed on Sundays, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. so they can receive donations and supplies. They are also hoping that people will come out and adopt or foster the animals.
The shelter is located at 210 Doty Heights in Lancaster.
