Kentucky Music Hall of Fame inductees announced
ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. - The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame announced who will become the newest members of the elite group.
David "Stringbean" Akeman, Dale Ann Bradley, Jason Crabb, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jackie DeShannon, and Bobby Lewis will be the 2018 inductees.
All of the inductees are Kentucky-born performers, songwriters, publishers, promoters, managers and other music professionals.
“It’s been a long journey since those days of growing up in Flatwoods, Kentucky,” said Cyrus. “For me, getting the chance to be inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame just brings it all full circle.”
Other notable members include Loretta Lynn, Florence Henderson, Rosemary Clooney, and EXILE.
The induction ceremony will take place on May 11, 2018, at the Center For Rural Development in Somerset.
