Mother desperate for justice in Whitley County triple murder

It's been almost nine months and there are still no answers in a Whitley County triple murder case.

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. - It's been almost nine months and there are still no answers in a Whitley County triple murder case.

On Sept. 13, 2017, Emogene Bittner, her husband Christopher Bittner, and Bittner's son Robert Kennedy III were found dead at the family's home on Deep Branch Road.

Kathy Faulkner, Emogene Bittner's mother, is the person who found them and called 911.

"They took my world, my life, my everything," Faulkner said. "I don't want anyone to have to go through what I'm going through."

At the time of the crime, deputies said the three were strangled by people from Indiana who knew the victims well. Since then, no one has been held responsible for their murders.

"I want justice for my family and I want closure in my life because I can't move on until I get that, but what's it going to take to get it," Faulkner said.

The Whitley County Sheriff's Office is investigating. Fox 56 reached out to them to see if there are any updates in the case but were unable to get any details as of Friday night.
