Mother's Day extra special for Versailles woman who delivered quintuplets
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mother's Day is five times as special for one Versailles family.
Briana and Jordan Driskell welcomed quintuplets into the world on May 2nd, marking the second quintuplet delivery at UK Hospital in recent months.
Briana Driskell gave birth to two boys, Gavin and Asher, and three girls, Dakota, Zoey, and Hollyn. The babies are still in intensive care.
Doctors say both the pregnancy and delivery of quintuplets comes with many challenges- predominately their premature births.
The Driskells say they are grateful to all their physicians and are excited to be first-time parents.
The family says networks have already approached them about participating in multiple reality TV shows, which they've declined. Instead, they're focused on raising healthy and happy babies.
Mrs. Driskell joked that she had received five fertility treatments in her attempt to have children, so she guesses her money paid off.
The babies are expected to remain at Kentucky Children's Hospital until their original due date in July.
