The Clark County Sheriff confirms one person is dead and two others injured after a car crashed and caught fire.

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. - The Clark County Sheriff confirms one person is dead and two others injured after a car crashed and caught fire.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Ecton Road just east of Winchester.

The Clark County Sheriff says the car ran off the shoulder of the road, hit a concrete bridge embankment and fell into a creek, where it ended up catching fire.

The Clark County coroner tells Fox 56 that 16-year-old Dylan Fields was a passenger in that car. He died at the scene. The male driver and a female passenger were both injured. The sheriff says two people passing by pulled the woman from the car before it caught fire.

The sheriff says he does not know the extent of the injuries to the two people injured.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
