State trooper injured in Estill County crash
IRVINE, Ky. (WDKY) - —
Kentucky State Police have confirmed that a trooper has been injured in a crash in Estill County.
The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday on Highway 52, just west of Irvine.
Police say the trooper was trapped in his vehicle after the crash, and had to be cut out. Police said he was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and later released.
A short time later, a separate crash involving a motorcycle happened just down Highway 52 from the first crash. Police are also investigating that. There's no word on the condition of the person who was on the motorcycle.
At last check, traffic was still moving slowly along Highway 52 in that area.
