Two men shot during argument outside Lexington apartments

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Two people were rushed to the hospital after a Thursday night shooting at a Lexington apartment complex.

Lexington police responded to Pegasus Place Apartments on Larkin Road just before 11 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Once at the scene, police found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with what was thought to be non-life threatening injuries, according to Lieutenant Chris Dearinger.

Police said it appears the victims shot each other during a confrontation in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Police said they are not looking for any suspects.

The police department's Violent Crimes Task Force, as well as a forensic unit, were called out to the scene to help with the investigation, said Dearinger.
