UofL student killed in shooting at Louisville concert
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting at the Tim Faulkner Gallery on Portland Avenue.
The shooting happened before 1:20 a.m. at the art gallery where police say a concert was being held.
Police said a Savannah Walker, 20, was fatally shot and five others were wounded in the shooting.
Family and friends of the victim told police she was a student at UofL.
The five people who were injured were taken to University Hospital and are expected to survive.
Police estimate that several hundred people were at the concert.
No arrests have been made, according to police.
"Well, obviously, we have no arrests at this point and our detectives and officers are currently canvassing the neighborhood for any potential witnesses and are also looking for any other victims that may have been hit. This was a large scale party with upwards to maybe 200 people or so," LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.
Police have not said what started the shooting or how many people were involved.

The University of Louisville released a statement on the death on Walker, saying:
"This is a sad day for the university family. Our thoughts go out to Savannah's family and friends. The university will be reaching out to her friends and will provide counseling to any students who feel they need it."
