Woman dies after Jessamine County crash

U.S. 27, Nicholasville

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. - A driver involved in a bad crash in Jessamine County has died.

The Fayette County Coroner says Kathy Rhinehimer, 57, died at UK hospital from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.

Nicholasville police say she was the driver a pickup truck hit by another car around 7 a.m. Thursday morning. Police say Rhinehimer was pulling out of Wichita Drive when she was hit near RJ Corman. According to police, the driver of the car ran a red light.

The driver of the car was also injured and taken to the hospital. We do not know the extent of that person's injuries.

We're told that Rhinehimer worked for RJ Corman.

Police shut down part of the southbound lanes of U.S. 27 for an accident reconstruction team to investigate.
