Baker commits to UK
Los Angeles shooting guard Jemarl Baker has committed to Kentucky, per Evan Daniels of Scout.
“I’m honored and humbled,” Baker told Daniels. “I know I’m going to be challenged and pushed every day by the coaching staff and it’s something I look forward to. I get to compete with some of the best players on a daily basis.”
Baker, a 6-foot-3 guard out of Corona, Calif., chose the Wildcats over Oregon, Arizona, Maryland, Marquette and Utan.
Baker originally committed to Calfornia, but was released from his letter-on-intent when coach Cuonzo Martin left for Missouri.
Baker made nearly 100 three-pointers last season.
