Kentucky falls to Ohio St., 82-68 in Women's NCAA Tournament second round
LEXINGTON, Ky. - No. 4 seed Kentucky had its NCAA Tournament run end for the third-straight season at home, this time losing to No. 5 Ohio State 82-68.
Ohio State jumped out to the early lead and led by as many as 19 points in the 3rd quarter. Kentucky stormed back to pull within one point late in the game, but the Wildcats could never take the lead.
The Buckeyes were led by 21 points from Kelsey Mitchell. Former Wildcat Linnae Harper finished with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.
Senior Makayla Epps scored 21 points in her final game in a Kentucky uniform. Evelyn Akhator had 14 points to go with a career-high 23 rebounds.
