UK women pick up commitment from top Tennesee player
Rhyne Howard, a 6-foot-guard out of Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, Tenn., has given a verbal commitment to Kentucky.
Howard Tweeted out her commitment on Friday, choosing the Wildcats over South Carolina and Purdue.
Howard is a two-time all-state selection and is ranked No. 33 on the 2018 ESPN prospect list. Howard played varsity basketball as an eighth-grader at East Hamilton before transferring to Bradley Central.
Howard averaged 19.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.6 steals, 3.8 assists and 1.2 blocks per game last season for the nationally-ranked Bearettes, who went 32-1 last season.
