LEXINGTON (WDKY)– The annual Bluegrass Crime Stoppers Golf Scramble was a sold-out event that raised more than $20,000. Twenty-eight teams took part in the fundraiser that helps provide the money used to pay anonymous tipsters.

Crime Stoppers is a 501c non-profit organization that runs solely on donations.

Coordinator Det. Anthony Delimpo said. “It’s been a huge year for Cime Stoppers, with just the four murder arrests alone. In May of 2021, we’ve tied last year’s number already.”

Crime Stopper will hold a shred event in July, followed by the annual shootout in August as further ways to build up the reward fund.

FOX 56 is proud to be the television partner of Bluegrass Crime Stoppers.
