Crime Stoppers: Lexington jewelry thief had ‘cross’ tattoo on forehead

Crime Stoppers

A Lexington jewelry store is out thousands of dollars after a young man stole from them last month. Workers at Jared say he was engaging, even polite, right up until the minute he bolted with some expensive bracelets.

And they couldn’t help but notice the cross tattoo between his eyes.

Employees of the store tell Lexington Police, the young man walked in the evening of February 13 and said he was there to look at bracelets for his girlfriend.

The request was specific, according to detectives, and when the Jared employee showed the man the bracelets, he turned and ran out of the store.

Security cameras were rolling from the time he walked in and show him running from the store. Police don’t know if he used a vehicle to get away.

If you recognize him, call the tip line at 859-253-2020 or leave your information on the Bluegrass Crime Stoppers website. Your tip could earn you a cash reward.
