Lexington gas station clerk robbed by man carrying rifle

Crime Stoppers

Lexington Police has reached out to Crime Stoppers for help solving a November 2020 hold up at a north Lexington gas station.

Around 5:30 the evening of November 12th, police say the armed suspect pulled up in a newer model, white, Buick Lacrosse with temporary tags and just sat in the parking lot of the BP station on N. Broadway.

Roughly 30 minutes later, with a rifle strapped across his chest, he walked into the store and demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. Surveillance video shows the suspect dropping a duffle bag at the clerk’s feet.

After the holdup, as the armed man was exiting the store, the clerk walks toward the door and the suspect raises the rifle at him again.

Lexington Police haven’t connected the Buick to any stolen vehicle reports, but can’t say for sure it is the suspect’s car. If you recognize it or the suspect, call the tip line at 859-253-2020.

Crime Stoppers doesn’t need your name, just your information. Your tip could earn you a cash reward.
