“The individual just walks up, comes down the sidewalk, not in a hurry, didn’t look like it,” said Det. Anthony Delimpo. “Very calm, cool, and relaxed. Walks into the bank, opens the bag and ultimately demands money and they give him money.”
It was 3:00 in the afternoon. There are several stand alone banks on the other side of Tates Creek Road. Ones that offer an easier escape. Instead, he chose the Traditional Bank right in the middle of the busy strip of businesses.
“If he took off running, people would see and give a better description of him which is why he kept so calm and cool about it,” said Delimpo.
After taking a left out of the bank lobby, he just walked away. Past Walgreen’s and Drakes, past the fire department, eventually walking out of view of cameras somewhere around Raven Road.
The robber was wearing tennis shoes, shorts, and a long sleeve shirt with a white hat.
“I think the biggest things watching this one is just watching his gait,” Delimpo said. “The way he walks and carries himself might lead people to realize who he is.”
