LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Lexington police are investigating another jewelry theft. This one is from Kay Jewelers inside Fayette Mall.

Detectives have exhausted all of their leads so they’re turning to Crime Stoppers hoping someone can identify the man they believe lives somewhere in central Kentucky.

The theft happened on June 16. The unidentified man got away with two bracelets valued at tens of thousands of dollars.

“The employee said he was very nice, even used the word ‘kind’ and said that he was interested in looking for some bracelets,” said Det. Anthony Delimpo.

What he wasn’t interested in, said police, was paying for them.

MORE CRIME STOPPERS:

“When you watch the video, he’s looking at the bracelets like he’s interested, like a typical individual that’s buying jewelry,” said Delimpo. “And then, just like that he grabs them and dashed out.”

If you recognize the man, Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 cash reward for your anonymous information. Call the tip line at 859-253-2020 or go online to p3tips.com.
