LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – It should’ve raised red flags to anyone around that a man wearing a mask and hoodie in late June and at 3:30 in the morning was up to no good.
No one called in the odd sighting along Harrodsburg Road and that man went on to burglarize a local restaurant. A business still recovering from another break-in in February.
Lexington Police can’t say yet if the two are connected, but the burglaries and the suspects are similar.
“He’s got a hammer and a screw driver in his hand and takes some time to pry his way inside,” said Det. Anthony Delimpo with the Lexington Police Department.
Once inside, out of anyone’s view, there’s no rush to his criminal activity. He grabs a safe and leaves the business totally exposed as he makes his getaway.
