SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56/WKYT/AP) — Police said a 10-year-old Kentucky boy who was shot in the chest at his home has died.

News outlets cited a statement from police reporting that emergency crews were called to the home in Shelbyville on the afternoon of Nov. 22.

The boy was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

His name wasn’t released. The circumstances of the shooting were unclear. No arrests have been made.

Shelbyville Police have identified Treymont W. Rucker-McKellery, 28, as the person of interest in the shooting.

He was described as 6 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 243 pounds with mid-length dreadlocks.

Rucker-McKellery was last seen wearing a blue hoodie but could have changed his clothes since then, according to officials.

He is believed to be armed. The investigation is ongoing.
