GLENDALE, Ky. (FOX 56) – An unmarked cemetery has been found in Hardin County.

The site of Ford’s proposed battery plant in Glendale was under review by archaeologists who found 19 unmarked graves on the property.

According to a statement from the Army Corp of Engineers, as part of the permit application review process, ford had to have the area looked at to determine if unmarked burials were present.

The fieldwork completed in March uncovered the human remains.

The corps is working with two Kentucky historical agencies and families of the descendants to come up with a plan to relocate the cemetery.

The corps said the cemetery relocation plan should not delay its permit decision.
