CORBIN, Ky. (FOX 56) – The home of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) has a new look.

After two years of renovations and COVID-19 delays, the KFC museum is open for business!

Inside there is a place to place an order and a dining area, but there are also many of the restaurant’s original uniform pieces displayed as well as a display of a motel it used to have, the kitchen and slice room set up, and a new area of classic trinkets of the colonel’s history and video lounge.

Matt Richardson, a shift manager who has been with the company for 12 years said this new setup far exceeded expectations.

“A major difference, it’s almost like a totally different store. I never would have imagined they were going to do all of this. It’s pretty cool,” said Richardson.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and it also has a drive thru.
