ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Anderson County Fire Protection District’s Board of Directors deliberated more than two hours Thursday night on the investigation of a blackface photo of Chief Pat Krogman.

The photo of Krogman, posted on his personal Facebook page, shows a red, yellow, green, and black hat with dreadlocks and his face, arms, and legs painted black.

According to The Anderson News, the directors released a state concluding there was “no evidence to support any wrongdoing.”

“As chairman, I found there is not enough evidence to proceed with this investigation,” board chairman Johnny Walls said. “Further, there is no evidence to support any wrongdoing by Chief Pat Krogman, nor has any evidence been offered to indicate that Chief Krogman has done anything other than provide exemplary service as fire chief of the Anderson County Fire Protection District and to the citizens of Anderson County.“

“We believe Chief Krogman has been wrongly indicted and will remain chief with the full support of this department and this board,” said Walls.
