WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said a family was robbed at gunpoint on the morning of Jan. 25 near the intersection of Pottsville Road and Perryville Road as they were traveling from Bardstown.
The driver of the vehicle told police that he was having car troubles and pulled to the side of the road to inspect.
Another vehicle stopped 100 feet away, two individuals exited and proceeded toward the victim’s vehicle.
One suspect held a gun to the driver’s head, forced him to the ground, then requested his money and jewelry.
The other suspect approached the passenger side window with a gun drawn and requested the occupants of the vehicle, the wife of the motorist, his father, and his two children, to hand over their belongings.
The suspects told the victims to not call the police, and left with gold rings, watches, wallets, a necklace, and a purse.
The suspects fled the scene and drove away toward Perryville.
The only description of the suspects at this time is that they are both males.
