FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is looking to immediately fill multiple temporary positions in Hopkinsville, Frankfort, Mayfield, and surrounding areas to help with rebuilding and recovery from the state’s Dec. 10-11 tornadoes.

The organization is seeking qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds that can fill a variety of emergency response functions such as logistics, hazard mitigation, operations, public assistance, external affairs, community planning, and information technology.

The listed positions are for 120 day periods but may be extended, in 120-day increments, to a maximum of 365 days. The length of employment is based on the needs of the disaster.

Salaries for the temporary positions range from $16.12 to $45.24 per hour. Those who wish to learn specific salaries and duties for the positions, as well as apply, can visit usajobs.gov.
