ALLENSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Todd County Sheriff’s Office contacted Kentucky State Police at 2:26 pm Saturday about a pedestrian killed in a collision on U.S. Highway 79.

KSP reports a semi-truck driven by Alexander Fritton was traveling on U.S. Highway 79. Justin Lambert, 33, of Bowling Green, reportedly went into the road while carrying a metal chair.

Investigators said Fritton slowed to a near stop after seeing Lambert in the road. That’s when police said Lambert proceeded to strike the side of the semi-truck multiple times with the chair before he was caught by the wheels and pulled under the vehicle.

The Todd County Coroner’s Office pronounced Lambert dead at the scene.
