Cadiz, Ky. (FOX 56) – A Kentucky teacher is being charged with sexual abuse following allegations of sexual contact with a student.
According to a statement for the Kentucky State Police, they began an investigation into Triff County High School teacher Ashley M. Wells in January.
The statement said the 34-year-old teacher had sexual contact with a 17-year-old student in Christian County in 2016.
Wells was arrested on Wednesday and is charged with first-degree sexual abuse.
