LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Officials say Kentucky has seen a dramatic rise in overdose deaths throughout the pandemic.
Addiction Recovery Care (ARC)—an organization headquartered in Louisa that offers residential and outpatient addiction treatment—is trying to fight that trend by expanding communication about how they can help and offering more vocational opportunities.
Even though the pandemic has calmed down, ARC officials say the next two years won’t be easy.
“I think the ripple effect of the pandemic will continue to be felt, but I do know that an organization like ours and many others are committed to growing to meet the need and to make sure that people get quality treatment when they need it.”Matt Brown, ARC’s senior vice president of administration
Officials say they understand how difficult it is for those battling addiction, but they’re encouraging them to never give up hope.
