LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – With the nation amidst COVID-19 recovery efforts, job openings are at an all-time high. At the same time, resignation rates are increasing to the point that experts have dubbed it the “Great Resignation”.
Incentives available from changing jobs, and a desire to get away from careers impacted by COVID-19, are major factors driving the phenomenon.
With the “Great Resignation” occurring, WalletHub ranked the states with the highest resignation rate.
Kentucky is high on the list, coming in as the state with the 5th highest resignation rate, recording 3.50% in the last month and 3.43% in the last 12 months.
States with higher rates of resignation were Delaware (4), Georgia (3), South Carolina (2), and Alaska (1).
