Several Kentucky school districts feeling impacts of COVID-19

KENTUCKY (FOX 56/WKYT) – We’re seeing more of the deadly impact COVID-19 is having in Kentucky schools.

A 15-year-old Shelby County student died of the virus Sunday.

A Lee County instructional assistant also died from COVID-19 several days ago. The superintendent there says three other district employees are in the hospital and two are on ventilators.

Coach Jim Matney from Johnson Central is also seriously ill. The school community held a vigil for him over the weekend.
