LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man has been arrested in London after attempting to run from authorities on Sunday.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said Corey Goldsberry, 28, was fleeing police at 65 mph on snow-covered roads when he crashed into an embankment.

Goldsberry then left his black Chevrolet Equinox and tried to escape officials on foot. The sheriff’s office said there was a small struggle between deputies and Root before he was finally taken into their custody.

It was determined Goldsberry had four outstanding warrants including absconding parole.

Goldsberry is now charged with speeding more than 26 mph over the speed limit, fleeing police in a motor vehicle, fleeing police on foot, and driving on DUI suspended license.

Previously, Goldsberry has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving on DUI suspended license. Laurel County Sherrif’s Office said Goldsberry had allegedly struck a motorcycle and left the driver lying in the roadway while Goldsberry fled the scene.
