HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) – One of Henderson County’s largest employers is cutting jobs.

Tyson Foods are eliminating 200 jobs at its Robards plant, with some of the layoffs will begin as early as next week.

Tyson said they’re having to reduce their workforce because the company is changing its product mix coming from other plants to meet consumer demands.

The plant will move away from frozen products and more toward fully prepared foods.

After the cuts, 1,250 employees will ill have jobs at the factory.
