MONTICELLO, Ky. (FOX 56) The Wayne County coroner confirms that a Lexington man’s body was recovered from Lake Cumberland Thursday morning.

The 73-year old was reported missing out of Lexington Wednesday. Authorities reached out to Wayne County and Monticello investigators to try and locate the man who frequents the Beaver Creek Marina and Conley Bottom.

Coroner Gordon Hicks says investigators used OnStar to confirm that the man was in the area of the lake. However, he was not on his houseboat which was docked in the slip at the marina.

The man’s body was later located in the lake and recovered about three miles from the marina.

No name will be released until next of kin is notified. Coroner Hicks says the man’s body has been sent to Louisville for an autopsy and to confirm a cause of death.
