2 hurt in separate shootings overnight in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Lexington Police are trying to figure out who’s responsible for two separate shootings overnight. Two people were hurt in each of these incidents.

Police tell us the injuries of both victims are not life threatening.

The first shooting happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday when police were called out to the 600 block of Triple Crown Parkway, near East Third Street and Midland, with a report of shots fired.

On the way, they got word of an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound, and they found him lying in the middle of the street when they arrived. The victim was rushed to the hospital for surgery.

Police say one home was also hit by gunfire. People were inside, but we’re told nobody was hit.

Around 3 a.m. Thursday, we’re told police were called to the area of Breckenridge Street and Shropshire Avenue with reports of a naked man walking around. Upon arrival, officers learned the man had a gunshot wound in his leg.

He was not as cooperative as police would’ve liked but was able to be taken to the hospital to be treated.

Police are still looking for suspects in both cases and haven’t said whether or not they’re are connected.
