LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The 2022 Lexington AIDS Walk is turning 29.
AVOL Kentucky’s main mission is to end HIV in the Commonwealth through collaborating with various communities.
AVOL Kentucky announced on Sunday the return of their AIDS walk, which took place at 251 W 2nd St. in Lexington at 1:30 p.m. Brief, pre-walk remarks were made by Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton and AVOL Kentucky executive director Jon Parker.
The annual fundraiser was created to increase HIV/AIDS awareness, develop long-term solutions, and implement measures with the goal of eradicating the disease in the future.
