3.0 magnitude earthquake reported near Kentucky-Tennessee state line

NEW TAZEWELL, Tenn. (WDKY) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck near the Kentucky-Tennessee state line.

The earthquake happened at 11:23 a.m. about six miles west of New Tazewell, Tennessee. It was 12.5 miles south of Middlesboro.

The depth was 17 km or 10.56 miles.
