FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Franklin County Humane Society is set to auction off a variety of sought-after Kentucky bourbon with all proceeds going toward the construction of a new shelter.

3,000 tickets will be sold for $100 each on the raffle’s official website,

The site said “tens of thousands of dollars in rare bourbon will be raffled.”

The raffle is separated into 20 different bourbon collection “flights” with each having a different theme.

Winners will be announced live by ticket number at Bourbon on Main in Frankfort and on the official bourbon raffle Facebook page at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27.

The new 10,000 sq. ft. facility is slated to open in December 2022 after the humane society received large donations between 2013-2020 to kick start the $1.6 million fundraising goal, according to the Franklin County Humane Society.

“A vision of loving homes, forever friendship, animal wellness and serving companion animals and their families,” said the humane society.
