LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington police responded to reports of a shooting at Valley Park Thursday night.

According to the Lexington Police Department’s duty commander, at around 7:15 p.m. police were dispatched to Valley Park on Cambridge Drive due to reports of gunshots.

A man and woman were at the park when the man was hit by a bullet. The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said there were possibly multiple shooters who fled on foot and police used a dog force to establish a trail.

A possible shooting took place in Lexington around 7:45 p.m. Thursday at Valley Park.

Lexington police said they have not located a victim, but shell casings were found on the scene.
