Caught on tape: Suspect escapes Jessamine Co. deputy's attempt to arrest

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (WDKY) - Police in Jessamine County are searching for a suspect they say assaulted a sheriff's deputy.

Deputies say James Gosser, 22, escaped from a sheriff's deputy who was trying to arrest him, assaulted him, then drove off in a car.

Gosser is wanted on active warrants out of Fayette County on theft charges and failure to appear. He is wanted out of Jessamine County on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and a parole violation.

Deputies say he will face several charges in connection to this incident once he is caught.
