A teenager is dead after a shooting in Lexington that sent two other men to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

It happened around 6 p.m. on Florence Avenue. Lieutenant Chris Cooper said the shooting happened outside.

When officers arrived they found two men and a male juvenile with injuries, police said. At this time, they don’t know if the victims are related.

All three victims were taken to the hospital Saturday evening with serious injuries, police said.

Mar’quevion Leach, 17, died at UK Hospital, according to a coroner’s report.

Officers were talking to people Saturday afternoon, asking them to make witness statements.

Investigators do not have anyone in custody. Police say it is too early to know a motive.
