Pulaski County deputy identified after being hit by vehicle, gunfire injures 1
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDKY) - Kentucky State Police are at the scene of a Pulaski County road where authorities say a deputy was hit by a vehicle.
Troopers say Pulaski County Deputy Jon Williams saw what he believed was a stolen Toyota Camry and tried to stop the driver. During the incident, the deputy was hit by a vehicle when it backed up. Williams is expected to survive the collision.
Authorities are at the scene at Ky. 635 just outside Science Hill.
There were two people in the vehicle, and one of the two was hit by gunfire and airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington. The other vehicle occupant was taken to jail.
