WDKY — A winter storm is targeting the bluegrass state this weekend. This may put down several inches of snow across parts of our region.
The first round of snow arrives from west to east this evening and carries us through Saturday morning. A general 1"-4" of snow will be possible, with higher amounts possible across parts of northern Kentucky. Lower amounts will show up in the far south.
From there, the next wave of precipitation will be rain and snow through Saturday night. Several inches of wet snow is possible in the north, with mainly rain across the southern half of the state.
A weaker system brings light snow and some light snow Sunday into Sunday night. Light snow accumulations are possible during this time for much of the region.
Leftover flurries and snow showers are possible for Monday.
