LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The Fayette Coroner’s Office released information on the human remains found following the Clay Avenue house fire on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

The remains have been identified as a 60-year-old Mark Greenwell.

The exact cause of death is pending autopsy results.

Greenwell’s remains were found in the crawl space of the home after the fire.

Investigators believe the first floor was burned, and the remains fell through to the sublevel.
