Coroner's office responding to deadly fire in Jackson County

MCKEE, Ky. (WDKY) - The Jackson County Coroner's Office says it has been notified of a deadly fire.

A deputy coroner is heading to the scene, which is on U.S. 421 near the Clover Bottom Rock Quarry.

The coroner was notified of the fire Thursday morning. It is unknown how many were inside the home at the time of the fire.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says Kentucky State Police are handling the investigation, and an arson investigator was called to the scene.
