LEXINGTON Ky. (FOX 56) — Fayette County voters have the option of voting early at a popular Lexington venue.

Thursday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Fayette County voters can head to Kroger field to cast an early in-person vote for the primary election. It was also done in 2020, but the process is expected to be even smoother this time around.

The check-in area has been rearranged, adding even more check-in stations. Fayette County Clerk Don Blevins Jr. says it’s never been easier. People just need to bring their photo ID.

“We’ll provide everything else for you. You’ll be handed a paper ballot and a pen. You’ll be sent over to an area that has privacy screens so you can complete your ballot. At the very end, you’ll scan your own ballot yourself, and then you’re on your way. It’s a very quick and easy process for folks who are hoping that it’ll go a lot quicker this time than it did in 2020,” Blevins said.
