LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man who previously served as a corrections officer at the Fayette County Detention Center has been charged with sodomy.

Arrest records indicate Joshua Alan Rogers, 22, was arrested on Monday by the Lexington Police Department and charged with third-degree sodomy.

The arrest citation post-arrest complaint reads, “While serving as a jailer at FCDC, the above-listed suspect engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with an inmate.”

Fayette County Detention Center Spokesperson Major Matt LeMonds confirmed with FOX 56 that Rogers was fired by the jail on Monday.
