GEORGETOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) – It was all hands on deck last night as the Georgetown Fire Department and several community volunteers worked for several hours overnight to rescue a furry friend in need.

The rescue began with crews hand digging in an effort to reach Gabby, a teenage dog who was trapped in a sewer clean-out drain.

With the help of the community, a camera system, and a mini-excavator were donated to help rescue workers get to the pipeline and get gabby safely back to her owner.
