FRANKFORT, Ky. (WDKY) – Governor Andy Beshear is providing an update on COVID-19 cases.
Governor Beshear reported 723 COVID-19 cases on Monday, which is the lowest daily case total since October 12.
“This is the type of decrease that we want to see. And we want to keep it going. If we can keep it going, we can look at easing some capacity restrictions, maybe even being able to do a little bit more, but the trajectory is moving in a positive direction,” Gov. Beshear said.
The governor says the state is seeing a 6.57 percent positivity rate. There were nine reported COVID-19 related deaths on Monday.
As of Monday, 969 people are hospitalized for COVID-19 related reasons.
On vaccinations, the governor says the state is moving childcare workers up to phase 1b.
